Phone banking is an outreach method that allows organizers in the advocacy and political space to canvass voters and supporters over the phone. You can use phone banking to GOTV, fundraise, or persuade contacts about a politician or issue.
Patch-through calling allows a volunteer to call a contact (member, voter, etc.) and ask them if they're willing to speak to their legislator to advocate for something. If they're willing, the volunteer can patch the contact through to their legislator's office.

Volunteers can participate in a phone bank in one of two ways: computer/web browser, or mobile app on smartphone. They'll need a phone either way, but if navigating the script on computer/web browser, that phone can be a landline or basic cell phone; if navigating the script via mobile app, they'll need a app-enabled smartphone.
